Band Practice

Saturday was band practice at our house....Aren't I so lucky! Well, at least I can claim to be cool! :) I definitely impressed them with my guitarin' skillz!!

I bet you didn't know that there was a rock song out there with the lyrics

'Mary had a little dragon
little POOP
little dragon!'

It's a well known ditty at our house! It really goes well with any background music. As long as you sing it loud!

Yeah! If only Abby knew what a big day today was. I'm sure she'll grasp it eventually! Walter's little brother, Josh, and his bride Amanda got married! Yeah for weddings! We just wish we could have been there!

blog worthy

I shaved my legs today!

If you know me at all, or have gone with me to get a pedicure, you know that this is a major milestone. I even shaved BOTH legs! Walter was home this morning and dying Easter Eggs with the kids. So, I took the opportunity to spend a little more time in the shower and pamper myself. I feel so much better now that I shared that with you!

Trady

Today I helped Julie put names on the Easter Eggs that her kids were selling. My mom used to make these fudge eggs and we would 'help'. My job was to put the names on, so I continue my reign as the name lady. Anyway, I got a little distracted in my brain, I know SURPRISE! I was probably thinking about food or something! So, I get distracted while writing Trae's egg and this is what I got...

Maybe I should just put it between Trae and Grady's baskets and tell them to share....we'll see how that goes over!!

Almost, but not quite that dumb!

So, I went to Wal-Mart today. No matter what I go there for, I always have to check out the clearance clothing items. It's kind of an addiction. Anyway, I see the clearance rack is full of snow suits! Now, I'm not positive that we will see much snow on the Eastern Shore in Maryland, but we will definitely be close to snow and the fun activities that can be enjoyed in the snow. So, I start getting sizes for next year. I decided to check out the price and get excited about my savings. They are 'down' to $47. I start to wonder if that's much of a deal. I mean, seriously. How much could they be regular price if they are clearanced to $47. Well, I rip of the sticker they placed over the original price and guess what?!? Woo hoo! They are discounted a whopping $0! Yes, you read that correctly. Under the $47 sticker were the numbers $47! I couldn't believe it! I almost left my cart right there, full of stuff, and walked out. But, I really wanted the stuff I had in my cart. I kinda needed it too. And the way my kids were acting, I wasn't about to start all over again at another store. So, I did what any self respecting person would do. I started tearing off those little stickers so that people could see the scamming going on! I hope I helped! :)

The houses...

The first house we were about to put an offer on was really cute!

I couldn't believe that I loved the yellow kitchen, but I did! We had plans for this house. It is close to the water on Kent Island! We were going to add a garage and a room above the garage for Walter's office, and maybe a playroom too! This house has no basement, so we needed somewhere for storage. I was pretty excited that we finally found something we could make work when all of a sudden Walter asked as we were standing in the kitchen..."What's missing?" It took us a few minutes when all of a sudden we realized there was no dishwasher! Been there, done that! Moving on!!

So, the next day, our last day, we headed out to see this house. It was 4 bedrooms, as opposed to the 3 bedrooms in the other house, and it already has a garage with a HUGE room above it.

It wasn't really exciting, but we decided we could make it work. It was also close to the water. All the homes around it were millions of dollars! The floors were also uneven and the stairs were wood and pretty steep. I had my concerns, but it was the best we had found. We decided we would make an offer on it, but secretly we were hoping that our offer was just too low and that they wouldn't accept it. And, aren't we so cute in this hammock? I don't think it came with the house, either! We just thought we were cute, and we needed a picture for church.

So, while our Realtor went to write up the offer we told her we would look around the town and meet her back at her office. Well, I wasn't really excited and had seen a sign for some new build homes starting in the $190's, so we decided to go and check them out. Needless to say after about 3 minutes in the new community we called our Realtor and told her we had changed our mind again. And, that is where we sit right now. We are waiting for the mortgage company and the builder to accept our offer. Hopefully tomorrow is our lucky day!

We only had about 1 hour at Ryan Homes, and then we had to head for the airport to catch our flight home. To entertain the kids at the airport we gave them the cameras...

And, lots of chocolate. Hoping they would enjoy the sugar high in the airport, and the sugar coma on the plane. Didn't work quite like I had planned, but it sure tasted good!

Baltimore!

In case you were wondering, we did have some fun in Baltimore on our house hunting trip! The first day we were there we headed to the pool!

My kids LOVE swimming! They have no fear! They were about to just go for it, when we reminded them that life jackets might prove helpful!

Grady didn't feel very good. We found out the day before we left that he had ear infections in both ears! Poor guy did great on the plane, but wasn't too excited about swimming. He typically loves the tub, and this was his first time swimming, but all we did was sit on the side with our feet in. It wasn't until last night that he finally started splashing and enjoying the tub again!

Oh, and the hot tub was so much warmer and inviting than the "cold tub" as Winni called it!

My hotness and our cute little fishies! We seriously had some fun this night. It was the next day that the house hunting began!

YEAH!!

I got to hold Sammy Nauvy today!! She is a chunk and looks like she might have gone to the wrong family! She should be in my family with all that hair!! :) But, she is cute and loved so we won't be sending her back. And my sister, who is too popular for her own good, had some yummy treats to share. About 10 minutes after I got there, Kari showed up with Kneaders Cheesecake! Then, about another 10 minutes into the visit LeighAnn and Brecken showed up with Training Table Cheese Fries. I really didn't want to leave, especially since she was so willing to share! But, my mom was sitting in the car with my kids. So, off I went. And now, I am in Manti! Hopefully I'll have something fun to share with y'all tomorrow. Seriously, I think it's time we buy a house already!!

Why is it??

So, my sister had a baby today! woo hoo!! I hear she is pretty cute! I hope to see her soon! I had her kids today while she was giving birth! After the babies was here and they were ready, I took the kids over to the hospital. I had to head to work so I couldn't go in, but while we were waiting for Trent to come out and noticed something. There are a lot of pregnant women at the hospital! Seriously! A lot of pregnant nurses coming and going. But my question is this...Why are there more pregnant women LEAVING the hospital than COMING to the hospital??!? Seriously! Like 10 or 12 pregnant bellies left while I was sitting there, and maybe 2 went in. Hmmm....just a little weird!
