HELP!!

We have 2 dogs. We have been asked to downsize to 0 dogs. I know most of the people who check my blog are family and know our situation, but for those who don't know, my parents are coming home from their mission next week and have asked that we not have any dogs when they get home. I've listed them on Craigs list and on KSL and have had a few calls, but nothing serious. So, if you or anyone you know is in the market for a black lab, please share this with them....

1 1/2 year old Xena the warrior dog is looking for a family that can help her conquer bad guys. Just look at that picture of her. Look at how sleek and beautiful she is. She is an absolutely awesome dog. It is sad, but we have no other choice. The pound isn't an option b/c they will put her to sleep if no one adopts her. She is great with people, loves kids, and is very smart (like a warrior princess) and loving. She is not necessarily crate trained, but knows that is her domain. so, at the end of the day, call her inside and she goes right to her crate. If you are into the outdoors she is great for that too..

4 year old Malachi is a wonderful dog! We are really sad that we have to give him away. He has always been so patient with our kids and at times, he thinks he is a lap dog! He loves to run, but is a little out of shape. He is house broken and some-what crate trained. We have had him in a crate without a top on it and he won't jump out unless we call him, or open the door and let him out. We would really like to find a temporary home, until we can get a place of our own, we just don't know exactly when that will be. However, if we find a permanent home that can love him and give him more attention than we can, we would love that for him, too!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! HELP ME FIND A GOOD HOME FOR MY DOGS!

This is so not like me, but I've been reading!! I know, SCARY!! That is, however, my excuse for not posting very often. I'm pleased to report that I read 2 books this month! woo hoo!

So, at this point I'm wishing I were a vampire, just for Edward! I'm putting off reading "Eclipse" for a little while. I've got work to do, with my parents coming home next week and all. So, I'm holding out! This will give me practice for the long, dry summer before "Breaking Dawn" comes out in August. Needless to say, I'm loving these books, but that doesn't make me a "bookworm!"

HOPPY EASTER!!

This year we had a wonderful, relaxed Easter. We went to an Easter egg hunt on Friday and my kids got Easter clothes on Sunday. I hadn't made it to the store by Sunday, so we were out of eggs! The only eggs we had on Easter were the fudge and marshmallow eggs we bought from Jaxynn! However, we survived! And we look as cute as ever!

HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY BABE!!

Yesterday, Walter and I celebrated our anniversary! What a beautiful day it was! Walter stayed home and did homework, so we got the treat of being with him all day! We went out on a date, too! He surprised me by taking my to Joe's Crab Shack. We haven't been there since I was prego with Winni! We had some yummy seafood and then we went shopping. We were having a great time. We decided to go to the movie "Definitely Maybe." It was a cute show, however we sat a little too close for me. It was either bad seafood or motion sickness that set in about 3/4 through the movie. After the movie we hurried to Julie's to get the kids. When Walter and Julie came out with my kids, they found a fowl smelling surprise....ME ralphing in Julie's gutter! FANTASTIC! There I was, after midnight, losing my dinner in someone's gutter! (If only I'd had a camera! That would have been great for the blog!) Too bad the neighbors weren't out to see. I'm sure their reactions would have gone something like this "there go the Smith's having a raging party again! You'd think a Seminary Teacher wouldn't have alcohol at his parties, but this happens all the time!" hahaha OK, not really. At least I'm feeling better today. However, I can't say the same for my boot! It took a vomit bath, so I was gimping it all day in my NIKE SHOX! Now my boot is clean and in working order again, for the next 1 1/2 weeks!! woo hoo!

Getting away from the vomit paragraph, I did want to publicly tell my husband how much I love him! He doesn't check my blog anymore because he thinks all I do is point out his faults, like not bathing the kids for 5 days, but I only do that because he's taken! If I put all his good qualities on the internet, well, I can just imagine the chaos! All joking aside, I love my Walter more than I even know! Some days I just look at him and my love for him grows just because he is doing the dishes, or playing with the kids, or brushing his teeth. I love his hobbies, the way he smiles. I love how he talks at the dinner table, trying to hide the missing tooth! (oh, that could be a post all by itself!) I love it when he goes Southern when he is talking on the phone to his family. I love how smart he is. I can't even scratch the surface when it comes to his studies. I love that he loves life and everything about it. He truly never complains! He takes every opportunity to learn and grow. I love the way he talks to telemarketers. Sometimes he acts like an old lady and asks the caller if they go to church?!? He proceeds to tell them they need to go to church. I think he is hilarious! I love it when he cooks/burns water! It makes me feel needed and increases my desire to do nice things for him. I love it when he cries, because he feels so strongly about something, because he's touched so deeply, because he loves so eternally! I love that the kids and I come first in his life. He would do anything for us. He does everything for us!! I look forward to growing old and cranky with him. And I love that when I call, he is there. Thanks BABE for 4 wonderful years and 3 amazing and beautiful kids! muah! I love you!

Toilet Fascination Chapter 24

So, tonight my kids were quiet. Something not too common at my house. I heard what sounded like water splashing, and I thought they were playing in the sink. I then heard Winni say they were making cinnamon rolls. I looked into the bathroom to find them both dipping toilet paper into the toilet and pulling it out, then rolling it up and calling it cinnamon rolls! Move over Pioneer Woman Cooks...we've got the new secret ingredient! EWWW!!! YUCK!! My first reaction was to go ballistic, but then I realized I had a "frog" in my throat. So, I looked at my kids, I said "just sec", cleared my throat and then I went crazy! "What were you thinking??? We don't play in the toilet! We don't make cinnamon rolls in the toilet!" I thought I was going to die! I put them both in the bathtub, cleaned up the toilet and the floor, and I went and got Walter to finish the job. For those cooking clubbers, I thought of Tamra's suggestion as to how to get a babysitter, fast!! It worked on my husband! hahaha Don't worry, we all survived and I'm learning to laugh when these things happen. And I better!! They seem to keep happening!

Today Grady has his first taste of solid foods. He wasn't too hip on the flavor, but like the rest of us, after you get through the first one, you are addicted! Mmmmmm.....Salt & Vinegar Pringles, thank Trae!!

Fido's Poo Crew

Today was clean up day at our house. My brother and his family came to help us de-junk before my parents get home. Boy did we de-junk. We got rid of a lot of things that...well, I shouldn't go into that here! My parents read this and it's their junk!! :) So, instead of listing what went, a picture is worth a thousand words

Thank goodness for the tarp! It held all 2600 lbs in and also hid all those treasures from being remembered!

While the guys were outside, Steph and McKall were in the kitchen making it beautiful! This is how it should look all the time...

And of course, the backyard clean up.

Did you know that for only $45 Fido's Poo Crew will come and clean up a winter's worth of dog poop from your backyard! After over 1 hour of poop scooping I felt lighter, 77 gallons of poop lighter! Ah, what a weight lifted off my lawn! The best $45 I've spent, ever!

Thanks to everyone who has helped, and to those who have promised to help! :) It's gonna be great!!

Oh CRAP!!

I got tagged!!! And, well, since I love telling people how cool my husband is, here goes...

How long have you been together? Married 4 years next Thursday, March 20th
How long did you date? Date is such a vague word, what defines dating anyway...ok on and off for 1 1/2 years
How old is he? 32
Who eats more? He does, but only because I run out of room!!
Who said I Love You First? I think I did, but it wasn't like a "romantic moment" it was in the process of dumping him the first time! hahaha
Who is taller? I am by an inch. But we both lie and say we are 5'9".
Who sings better? Sing? I score higher on Karaoke Revolution, so I guess me.
Who is smarter? Him, since he continues to get smarter and I continue to get dumber!
Who does the laundry? Me, nuff said!
Who does the dishes? Me, but when we got married he told me he loved to do dishes. I think he has secretly fallen out of love with doing dishes.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me, for now. With a new baby and a still broken foot, I can't get up in the night to slay the dragons in my children's dreams, so it is Walter's duty.
Who pays the bills? He makes the dough and I roll it out!
Who mows the lawn? Well, since we've been married we haven't really had a lawn to mow, it was always covered in the rent. Except last year when I was alone during the "lawn mowing season" in my parents house. I mowed it, but only on occasion. However, in Walter's defense, he told me to hire someone to do it!
Who cooks dinner? Me, and if he doesn't love what I cook, the leftovers that he gets, I threaten to quit! He does make a mean grilled apple tuna and cheese sandwich when coached.
Who is more stubborn? He is!
Who kissed who first? He kissed me, but I was totally asking for it!
Who asked who out? He asked me out, but only because when he was about to end the conversation I said, "aren't you going to ask me out?!?"
Who proposed? Well, first it was the letter he sent me in the MTC, but then he did. But he soon let me know that I needed to return the favor with a ring because Steve Young had an engagement ring.
Who is more sensitive? He is only sensitive to the things I say, so definitely me. But he does love a good cry while watching a sappy movie.
Who has more friends? He has more friends "out there", I meet new ones all the time, and they all have some great stories about him. However, when he meets new friends I have to approve of them first! :) Cute little weird husband attracts some funky friends! But I have more "blog" friends, and that's what counts, right ladies?!?
Who has more siblings? Well, if we count halfs and steps (which we do!!), we tie, otherwise I beat him by 6!

I love my husband. He is the best thing I ever gave Australia up for! :) He is perfect for me and I love "our dance!" Here's to My Prince, for at least 4 more! :) OK, I'll keep you for eternity! muah!

If you want to be tagged, go for it! If not, just give your husband a big kiss and thank him for all he does for you!

Oh my DEER!

I looked out the window and what did I see???? 8 deer looking back at me!! HOLY COW!

I've been at Dan & Steph's when you see a deer or 2 along the fence in their backyard, but 8?!? AWESOME! They were a little confused, however! They couldn't find their way back up the mountain. It gave us a lot of chances to take pictures. At one point they came around to the front of the house and stood in the street for a minute, then went back to the backyard. Finally, the 2 little ones slipped through an opening in the fence, while the other 6 went back the way they came. Trae thought it was so cool!

Check out my Slide Show!

We are having so much fun in Logan. Everybody loves my camera, for some reason, especially Winni. So, I let her go to town taking pictures! Here are the close-ups the kids got of everyone! Enjoy!

Trae's CHUCKS

Dan & Steph had a couple totes of things they were getting rid of. We decided to go through them to see what we might be able to use. We found lots of great clothes for all 3 of my kids! However, my favorite was these shoes. Steph's parents got them for Alec when they were in Korea. They are called CHUCKS! They are like high tops. SOOO SOOO SOOO CUTE!! He enjoyed them, I think?!? Probably not as much as I did. However, he did go outside to try them out in the snow...

Cookies & Superhero's

This week I am in Logan taking care of my brother's kids while he and his wife are away. I say "taking care" because these kids do not need a babysitter. My brother has amazing kids who have been trained well. I believe my whole purpose in being here is to make sure the house doesn't burn down! We have been having so much fun!! I told them that the one thing I'd like to do while at their house is shave my legs, and I got to today! woo hoo!! And that was all because McKall, their 13 year old, told me to, while she took care of the kids. It was fantastic!! So, to say thanks, we made cookies. The looked absolutely amazing!!

But, they tasted just OK! A little on the dry side. I'm not sure why?!?! This same recipe works great at home. Oh well, dipped in milk they still hit the chocolate spot! We saved the dough and cooked up some everyday. Dry or not, we couldn't throw away perfectly OK cookies!! ***

Winni also found the Playstation 2 controller and wrapped herself up, like so...

She proceeded to tell me that she is a superhero and the controller helps her to fly. She will save me. I'm sure lucky to have her around. Everybody should have a superhero in their home!!

A Head Banging Good Time

My kids love to climb and jump! We were having so much fun, as you can see...

When all of a sudden...

However, he got back up to try again....when...

And, of course, we didn't learn our lesson, or we are stubborn, or something like that, but he got up again and...

SWEET SUCCESS!!

So, this is my beautiful front yard. So much potential?!?

We, Julie and I, planted crocus' last fall, but I wasn't convinced that they were going to grow. You see, we got them into the ground a little on the late side. It was like this, we planted the crocus' in the very hard ground, then it snowed the next day! Well, the other day I was outside noticed my tulips and crocus' coming up in the flower beds, and the dirt "growing" in the grass, when all of a sudden...

WOO HOO!! My parents have one less reason to kick me out of the will!

What is it with kids and toilets?? I thought we were out of the toilet fascination stage, but we've reached new heights. This morning Winni was so proud of herself for pooping in the potty that she stayed in the bathroom after I left. I heard her flush, but then she wasn't coming out of the bathroom. I went in to check on her and found her with her head rather close to the seat. I asked what she was doing and she told me she was putting her head in the toilet. I said, "ew! that's gross!" So, she told me she wasn't putting her head in the toilet, just her hair. We had a lesson in cleanliness and the proper uses for the toilet. I thought you had to have older brothers to experience your head in the toilet, apparently not! A little later my kids decided they wanted to brush their teeth. They brought me their toothbrushes and toothpaste and I helped them brush their teeth. I sent them to the bathroom to rinse off their brushes and put them away. Apparently I wasn't clear to Trae on how to rinse his toothbrush. While Winni was on the counter doing as I told her to, Trae was rinsing his in the toilet, then brushing his teeth some more. Oh, I am so grossed out!! Time for a new toothbrush!

Evidence of an over-blogged family

So, as I was enjoying my typical evening blogging session, my kids were enjoying there daily house-recking ritual. I've got to put a stop to this...

Now I ask, what do I do? Something has got to go! Is it the kids or the tree? I think we will get rid of the tree! I like the kids too much!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

We had family pictures taken for the first time....ever!! woo hoo!! We had Katherine Wallin from Wallin Photography come to our house and take our pictures. She did a great job. Check us out!!
