Family Pictures!!

Back on graduation day we had our pictures taken. Katherine did an awesome job! I love these pictures!!

After we took the picture above, Grady decided to master the stairs! In doing so he scraped up his forehead and nose. Ahhhh....perfect! Then we realized we had forgotten Malachi. He was still in the car (with the windows down, of course). So Walter went to get him while we took some individual shots of the kids.

My baby boy! Dang they grow up fast!

My T-Bone Steak! I love close-ups of this kid! His eyes just suck me in. Do you think anyone would notice if I took a bite out of his cheek??

Can you believe this little lady!?! She was such a poser for the whole time.

Our 'whole' family! Minus the turtles, but they are really just visiting...for the next 40 years!!

And, of course, because we love the U!

I'm SOOOooo RIGHT!!

and I'm so good at being right!! :)

the profile with fist under chin pose!

laying out, getting a tan! (good luck little one! sorry, it's just not in your genetic make up!)

Now, I've just got to convince Walter and Winni that we are NOT going to name her Shakira! I mean, unless she comes out the appropriate ethnic background for that name. So, any suggestions??

My graduate!

As I was downloading my pictures I saw this...

but didn't think too much of it. Then, tonight I was looking through my pictures wondering if I'd forgotten to blog anything, and I have but that will come, but I decided this was blog worthy! Seriously, what is going on here? Did he really take a picture of himself doing...whatever he is doing? Or did he allow one of my innocent, privacy respecting children to come in and take this picture? Either way, I better count my blessings that he is in Hawaii right now, and that he doesn't check the blog!! I guess if you didn't know my husband very well before, now you do! Maybe a little too much!

The first sign...

The tow truck came today and took Walter's car away...

As we watched it drive away, Trae called out and said, "Bye my daddy's car! See you in Baltimore!"

And so it has begun! There is no turning back and no time for ultimatums! :) So, we are throwing ourselves a good-bye party! I made a page on facebook for all you facebookers. If you aren't my FB friend yet, become one :) and then let us know if you will be coming to our party. We are excited for the change, but good-byes are always hard. If you aren't a FBer, here are the details...

May 23rd 5-9 at Southwood Park. We will have some sort of sandwiches, like hoagie or croissant and drinks. If you'd like to bring something, please bring some sort of finger food. Like a veggie or fruit tray, cookies, chips, something like that. We will have plates and forks, so salad is a good one too. Really, we don't care if you bring anything more than yourselves, cause we want to see everyone before we leave. Walter flies out Monday, May 25th and the kids and I leave June 1. So, come let us give you a BIG KISS before we go!

HE DID IT!!

HE

AMAZES

ME!

No, he didn't just dress up in a dress and put on a goofy smile...he really graduated! And, I've got living proof!

What an accomplishment! Seriously, he worked so hard! There was one night last week that he slept for 25 minutes! That's it! My husband is amazing. He first decided to go into engineering because it was challenging, it was difficult, and people didn't think he could do it. So, to those who thought he couldn't...EAT CROW! And, to those who have cheered him (us) on and are just as proud as me, thanks for believing in him. I've been coming to the realization that this means we are moving away, and that bites, but my husband has a job...a career...and his dreams are coming true! I couldn't be happier for him, or for our family. yipee!! What a wonderful Mother's Day gift to me, and to his mom! I know she is beaming with pride for her baby boy right now!

Oh, and we had a lot of fun today!

We rode the bus to and from the commencement ceremony...

A little on the tired side!

The future...

hmm.....

something is missing!!

So, last year in July, I think, I drove to the car dealership to get my car worked on. I can't remember why, but it was going to take a few hours, so I put Walter's bike in the back so I could ride it home. Well, as I was taking it out of the back, the handle bars started to turn and I just knew what was coming. Part of the handle bar came right down on my ring and cracked my CZ into pieces. Now, remember this was last July! I have been dropping hints since then. I even made sure to tell "somebody" exactly where my ring was for safekeeping. I think I even told him where to take it to get it fixed. Well, we ordered his class ring about 2 weeks ago and I decided that since neither of us wear a wedding ring (he lost his at work in the shower! hmmmmm.....lots of questions there!) and now he is getting a class ring, SOMEBODY needs to represent our marriage. Well, after a year of dropping hints didn't work, I took it in myself and got it fixed. Now, I'm married again and hopefully those weird pregnancy dreams about Walter wanting to date other women will subside. He would probably appreciate not being in trouble in the morning! I love my ring! It really has helped curb the looks I get when I walk around pregnant with 3 kids. Maybe now I'll get customer service when I go to Old Navy. :)

Chestertown

Guess what's gonna go here??

OUR HOUSE!!

And, it'll look a little something like this...

I got to go through the same floorplan as ours but in brick, it was fun! It was my first time actually being in the same floorplan as what I am buying! Kinda crazy!!

My kitchen cabinets will look like this...

And my faux granite countertops...

The master bedroom...

Looking up the stairs from the front door. Although, you won't see so much since I will have a laundry room instead of an open entryway. But I'll still have those stairs, and that lovely potty room at the top!

Our "morning room" which is an extension onto the kitchen. It's a little long for a table...maybe it'll be a school room or a craft room or something. Who knows! All I know is that, if I get my way, someday that door to the left will have a deck. And, my kids will come running up that deck, through the house, and up the stairs to their play room, where they will climb onto the slide I plan on placing in the window and go zooming down. Just so they can do it all over again!! :) Safely, of course!

Looking toward the kitchen from the front door. First door, nice little powder room. Second door...closet! Oh, and the princess in the kitchen is my mother. She came with me to Chestertown last weekend to make these decisions and to see my house in real life.

My mom and I had lots of fun! First we took the red eye to NYC on Thursday morning at 12 AM. We survived though, first class aint so bad!! Then we headed to Baltimore where we picked up our rental car and headed to the hotel. Turns out the hotel was OVER an hour away from Chestertown. It was actually in the complete wrong direction when leaving the airport! I knew something wasn't right. So, as we drove around while trying to get a new reservation somewhere closer we realized the brakes on our car weren't working so well. So, on our way to Chestertown to start our appts we stopped off at an Enterprise along the way and picked up a new car. One with brakes! What a novel idea! We were able to make it to our appts on time and finally, at about 430 PM we got something to eat! I.WAS.STARVING!! Then we followed Brooke, the Ryan Homes Salesperson we were working with, out to Delaware to see a Bainbridge model that is almost done and very similar to our home. We decided to stay the night in Delaware. We had plans of sitting in the hot tub, but passed out before I could even think about putting a swimsuit on! Oh, and Fairfield Inns don't have hot tubs. The highlight of the night was before I passed out. As we checked in they had some warm chocolate chip cookies, so we had to take one...or two. Well, I was a little concerned that the car lights had been left on, so I headed down to check it out. I was walking past the cookies so I figured I should grab another one. Ya know, act like I hadn't had one yet. After I snatched another cookie I walked around the lobby just checking things out. I said 'hi' to the man I passed as I got on to the elevator and headed back to our room. When I got there my mom asked me how the lobby was. Then she asked me why I went down their with a chocolate chip melted to my lip! oooops! Guess I wasn't as sly as I thought! Good thing I have no shame! The next morning we headed back to MD to our homesite and picked out the goods, like countertops and cabinets. Then we headed to the local hospital to check out the facility. Turns out they deliver an average of 300 babies...A YEAR!! They only have 2 doctors and 4 labor/deliver/recovery rooms. A little different from IMC and my last delivery. When we got home I called and found out that neither dr takes my insurance. So, I just might have to drive the 45 minutes to the next hospital. This should be fun!! I'm getting excited! and sad! We bought our plane tickets and we leave June 1st! It's coming so fast!!!

family pictures

While I like to think I can plan ahead, I honestly don't! However, for once, I planned family pictures! Last time I planned family pictures it consisted of me going out the night before and finding something for all of us to wear, along with haircuts and everything. Although, I forgot my own hair and had some nice lookin roots in the picture. Well, this time being our last Utah picture I decided to prepare. I even finished buying outfits last week!! I was so proud of myself. My hair appt is tomorrow, Walter and the boys on Thursday, and Winni, well, I'm growing her hair out so no cut at this time. I guess she felt differently...

Thankfully, she felt the need to show me her progress before she got too much accomplished!

And, of course, Trae had to get in on the action...

I blame their father for this! They used his razor!!! Luckily there was no blood, but then again, I haven't dealt with their father yet!! I realize it could be a lot worse....A LOT WORSE!! I'll take what I've been dealt, but COME ON! Hopefully Brooke can work some magic and make us beautiful again!
