Sands of a BEACH!

I keep getting shocked! Who is this man that keeps coming home every night, about the same (reasonable) time, playing with my children, insisting that we do fun things, I mean, most of these fun things are time consuming...and his idea! We got up this morning and I thought he was going say something along the lines of, 'let's take it easy today since we were busy yesterday and were out late.' No, quite the opposite. We woke up and he said, "let's go to the beach!" YEAH! You see, the beach is about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs away! So, we found IHOP, because it was first on my list, and headed to Ocean City! It was beautiful! I wanted to do another collage, to take up less space, but let's be serious! I like to talk a lot...so here we go!

First things first! We found the beach...with a playground! yeah! Winni decided we need to do our yoga exercises! Where did she come from?

Grady LOVES the sand! He is all boy! He got right in there and started helping the other kids fill up the pails!

Not only did he put sand in pails, he got Trae to help him put all the garbage (including cigarette butts) into the garbage can!

They had a cute little airplane and a truck for the kids to play in. Winni was so proud of herself for climbing on top of the plane! wahoo!!

Trae had fun with 'his friends' in the truck!

Not sure who taught him this one. But, I guess it looks like fun! He had his brother joining him in this adventure too!

And, of course, sand angels!

They have this really long boardwalk, with hotels, restaurants, and shops all along it. There was also this fun (scary) shark sticking out of the building. So, we had to pretend it was going to get us. See the scared faces?? ya, me neither!

It turned out there was also an air show at the beach today. We were listening to it on the radio before we got there. They got one act in, then the fog set in and they kept postponing it, until they had to just cancel it for the day. We were a little sad, but we still got to check out the gear they bring along. There was this F-16...

excuse the naked Trae. He didn't wear shorts...and it was too hot for pants. We did have swimsuits, but my kids forgot to put them in the stroller, so we went bottomless!

oh wait, they didn't bring this little gear...I did! I love his cheeser!

They were also having people do push-ups for a T-shirt...so my kids joined the fun. Winni was coaching Trae on how to beat this guy...and counting for him. It was cute!

We heard a little 'pop' or was it a 'plop' of sorts. Trae looked at me and said, "hey, who did that?" I told him it was just that a bird had pooped next to him. He excepted that and went along doing push ups. I guess the sound was more of a 'splat', and Trae felt it!!

Then Winni got in on the action! They were doing really well, doing them wrong, but well!

And, after all this fun...this little guy was pooped!

So, we headed to the car and as we drove out of Ocean City, with everybody else, it started raining! Thankfully, I am the only one with a little sunburn. Not too shabby for pasty white folk! :)

You guys are getting out and experiencing your new place much more quickly than we did when we moved to NC! How far are you from NYC?
